Growing your own food.

The world of genetically modified food is a scary place where I don't want to live. The people who told us that PCB's, DDT, and Aspartame were "perfectly safe" are now telling us that GMO's are safe, too.

We know now that those are all very unsafe products/materials that lead to a wide array of problems and death.

What you can do:

- Shop at farmers markets : you can get high quality organic produce for the same price as conventional produce in the market. Why? You're not paying for shipping, packaging, marketing, etc. etc., you're paying the farmer and your money is going back into the local community.

Grow your own! : If you don't have any land, get some pots. No room for pots?
grow food in your windows: watch this video to find out how... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fPZWJggyXY

Check this website for seeds - http://www.seedsavers.org/

Search for community gardens in your town as well. Most of the time you can "rent" a space for very little money and you can share tools/seeds/gardening tips with people in your neighborhood while strengthening your community!
